With the help of local and state governments, Shed 100 continues to source suitable permanent sites in an area where availability is strictly limited.
Procurement and commissioning of the Shed 100 Mobile Shed
Jindalee Golf Club kindly offers the use of their old machinery shed as a temporary base.
Funding approved for a novel concept of a ‘Mobile Shed’ comprised of two fitted-out trailers and portable gazebo shelters, with tools and equipment (funded by BCC)
Establishes community partnerships with local clubs and institutions and community assistance jobs.
Men’s Shed 100 Inc has its inaugural AGM on 19 September
Weekly social interaction commenced with a ‘virtual’ shed gathering at a Sinnamon Park.
Monthly meetings commenced, held at the Centenary Community Hub, with guest speakers covering men’s health and wellbeing, and general interest topics.
Men’s Shed 100 Inc became an incorporated association with a management committee to oversee activities.
Initial public meeting held and a Steering Committee, under the project name of Centenary Suburbs Men’s Shed, established to plan and implement a Men’s Shed group.
A local Community Recovery Group was established in response to the flood’s impacts.
Need identified for establishing a men’s shed centred in the Jamboree Ward.
